Lamp, Rynearson Acquires Northern Colorado Firm

Furthering its strategy of delivering outstanding creative services in infrastructure and community design, Mike McMeekin, P.E., President of Lamp, Rynearson & Associates, announced the firm has acquired Greeley-based Pickett Engineering in Northern Colorado. McMeekin, who has been with Lamp, Rynearson and Associates for 24 years, stated. “It has been a goal of our organization to have a presence in the northern Colorado area. This agreement advances our company strategy, provides career opportunities, and joins two talented firms with excellent reputations.”

Pickett Engineering will continue functioning with the same project management team intact, but will operate under the name, Pickett Engineering, A Lamp Rynearson Partner. Pickett Engineering is a civil engineering firm offering comprehensive and cost effective civil engineering services for clients in Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont, Greeley, Colorado Springs, and other cities in the area. Expanded services will be introduced, but the same “customer first” attitude will remain a top priority.

Lamp, Rynearson & Associates has a solid history of survey performance, starting with one of its founders in 1959 who was a surveyor. Surveying will be a new service offered by Pickett Engineering, A Lamp Rynearson Partner. Leading the Colorado Survey group is Frank Kohl, a Licensed Surveyor in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa. Tom Marnik, a principal and member of Lamp, Rynearson & Associates’ Board of Directors, will manage the Colorado office.

Lamp, Rynearson & Associates has over 100 talented men and women, offering leadership in all phases of a project. Services include civil engineering, survey, urban planning, landscape architecture, land development and redevelopment, erosion control monitoring, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), 3D visualizations and construction administration.

This acquisition combines creative ability, technological resources, local relationships and a strong portfolio of Colorado projects. “We are realizing a strategic objective – to expand into the Colorado market with a robust, local firm. Colorado’s open spaces and mountain settings create an aesthetic backdrop for economic growth,” McMeekin noted.
