Burke High School Track & Field, Omaha, NE

Burke High School is host to the Nebraska State Track Meet held every May. Thousands of competitors and spectators come from all over the state to attend the meet. Burke High School has the nations second largest attended state track meet.
When Omaha Public Schools wanted an experienced firm to handle the Design and Construction Administration of the Burke High School Track and Football Field reconstruction project, Lamp, Rynearson & Associates was selected. The Burke High School project required a total replacement of both its synthetic track surface and its natural turf football field. The project also required the addition of a chute to accommodate for a common finish line. The planned synthetic track surface is a full-depth polyurethane surface. A state-of-the-art infilled system has been selected as turf for the football field with a sub-surface drainage system.
