Discovery Bay, an outdoor state-of-the-art water park, includes two support buildings and a 145-stall parking lot. Lamp Rynearson was contracted to complete the layout of the parking lot, grading, and drainage design. In more detail, the conceptual layout was analyzed and design options were provided to meet the City’s code requirements. Once the layout was approved, the grading of the site was developed to provide finish floor elevation, pool pad elevation, and parking area. The drainage design included providing the redesign of the existing detention system to the north of the project to compensate for the increased runoff generated by the improvements. Off-site improvements included the completion of the design for the expansion of 24th Street along the southern portion of the project.
