When the City of Omaha was ready to update its image and revitalize its river “front door”, it selected Lamp Rynearson for design and construction administration services for infrastructure improvements. The $281 million Omaha convention center/arena and riverfront redevelopment is now a destination for Omaha’s citizens and its visitors. As a leader and coordinator of the multi-disciplined design team, Lamp Rynearson developed a Master Plan for the 120-acre site and surrounding redevelopment areas.

  • Design of storm and sanitary sewers won ACEC (American Consulting Engineers Council of Nebraska) design award.
  • Storm sewer involved the largest precast pipe ever constructed in the City of Omaha.
  • Performed design for 240 feet of 144” diameter concrete pipe that was jack and bored under a railroad and existing elevated Abbott Drive, for a total of 1125 feet of 144” concrete pipe.
